My First wool scarf

I started this scarf whilst away. It is bewwwwtiful. It is in Rowan Luxury Cotton DK two tone in brown and grey. It hasn’t got the colour on the tag????

A gift from my new pal

Super Secret Pal 7 .We arrive home and the first item of post I received was this!!!! What a fantastic gift - thank you so much. Luuuuurrrrvvvveeee the Debbie Bliss yarn and pattern for the shawl, I think I will make that for my nan. Super dooper Regia sock yarn in surf colour and circular needles. The chocolate was soooooo scrummy.

Both DH and I loved looking at where you live what an absolutely stunning village - do you get trapped when it snows?? I look forward chatting over the coming week and once again thank you so much - stunning, absolutely stunning!

ORMIDIA SEA VIEW

What a view. It’s a shame that it was winter as you can’t really see the sea that well. I will add another in the summer when the sky is blue.

ORMIDIA PENTHOUSE

Well, what a week. We arrived on the Saturday, an hour late, and then drove down to Agia Thekla. Early on Sunday morning we couldn’t wait any longer to go and see our beautiful apartment so we sped off at the crack of dawn. Luckily we arrived before the builders and were able to sneak up to our penthouse. The veiws were absolutely gorgeous. The cock was crowing and the farmers were rounding the sheep and we sat for an hour on our balcony just staring out to sea.

During our holiday the builders had erected the inside walls and installed the balcony walls and we revisited later that week. Even more stunning. Terry had the pleasure of spending a few days going around the island picking out tiles and bathroom and kitchen fittings.

On Monday however we were hit by a tornado. The house that we stayed in shock as it went over us and I did somewhat of a girly scream with DH telling me to be quiet as I was disturbing him reading his book!!!!

The weather wasn’t great but we had such a lovely time and DH is off to furnish the apartment in July. We’re going to take nan out there for a lovely long Christmas break and I can’t wait!!!!!

To sneak or not to sneak? That is the question.

Hi everyone. Okay, countdown has begun……only a few hours until we’re jetting off into the sun. I am rather distraught, however, to learn that a crochet hook is a deadly weapon on an aeroplane……..only if you look at my crocheting was my reply. So NO, nothing can be taken on the plane. Darling husband has volunteered to sneak it through though, but I would like to take a vote on it.

To sneak or not to sneak?

Urgent replies would be gratefully received.

Updates of piccies coming soon.

UPDATE: I brazenly (with the understanding that if I was caught I would blame it on DH) took my bamboo needle on the aircraft and then promptly sat crocheting for 5 hours without a word from anyone!!!! Did the same on the way back, again nothing and even carried my bamboo needles in my handbag. RESULT! Airport security (Heathrow) didn’t seemed bothered that I was carrying two crocheting hooks through…….However, I don’t know how other airlines would respond?

Only 6 days until we fly off to our place in Cyprus and I can’t wait. I have to contact the airline today to see if they will let me take my crochet hook on board. I hate flying and if they will let me take it aboard then I might just have something to keep my mind on.

I’m taking sock number 2 with me - will have the yeti alongside to measure it this time!

My nan loved the scarf so much (it’s just about finished and will get hubby to post a photo for me) that she wants me to do one in lemon.
